Alphabet City Brewing Company is a New York craft brewery founded in 2012 by Jason Yarusi and Jeffrey Simón. The brewery began in the founders’ East Village apartment kitchen, where their passion for brewing beer grew from a simple desire to create flavorful drinks they could share with friends. Today, Alphabet City continues to celebrate the culture, energy, and history of Manhattan’s East Village through its approachable and creative beers.

The brewery’s year-round lineup includes 7th St. Blonde Ale and Village IPA. The Blonde Ale is light-bodied with a crisp finish, while Village IPA delivers a more hop-forward character using varieties such as Warrior, Simcoe, Citra, Equinox, and Amarillo. Alphabet City also produces limited releases, including Sugar Plum Fairy, a Belgian-inspired dark ale brewed with real plum puree and Belgian candi syrup.

Alphabet City Brewing Company focuses on beers designed for everyday enjoyment while maintaining a distinctly New York personality. Its releases combine traditional brewing foundations with modern ingredients and creative ideas, giving the lineup a balance of familiar and adventurous flavors.

With its East Village roots, small-batch spirit, and diverse selection of approachable beers, Alphabet City Brewing Company offers an engaging look at New York’s independent craft brewing culture and remains a distinctive name for beer enthusiasts exploring the city and surrounding New Jersey market.
