Rockaway Brewing Company

is a craft brewery founded in 2012 by Ethan Long and Marcus Burnett, two longtime homebrewers who turned their passion for beer into a commercial brewery. Despite being associated with Rockaway in some listings, the brewery’s production facility and taproom are located in Long Island City, Queens, New York. The founders originally developed their beers while homebrewing in Rockaway Beach, which inspired the brewery’s name and identity.

Rockaway Brewing Company produces a rotating selection of approachable and creative beers across different styles. Its lineup has included English-style ales, IPAs, stouts, porters, lagers, and seasonal releases. Notable beers have included ESB, Black Gold stout, Fool’s Gold porter, and Dapper Dreams, a double IPA brewed with Citra and Motueka hops. The brewery emphasizes fresh, flavorful beer while maintaining a relaxed neighborhood character.

The Long Island City taproom provides a casual setting where visitors can enjoy beers directly from the brewery. Its location in Queens makes it a convenient destination for locals and visitors exploring New York City’s craft-beer scene. The brewery also offers packaged beer to take home and regularly introduces new releases.

With its Rockaway Beach roots, independent spirit, varied beer selection, and welcoming taproom, Rockaway Brewing Company offers a distinctive New York craft-brewery experience. It remains a notable destination for beer enthusiasts interested in fresh local beer and the history of Queens’ independent brewing culture.
