Scrubby’s Craft Beer and Taproom

Scrubby’s Craft Beer and Taproom is a small, independent brewery and taproom located inside the Red Lion Bowling Center in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. The brewery has created a distinctive destination where handcrafted beer, bowling, food, and community entertainment come together. Its taproom was renovated from former arcade, locker-room, and pro-shop space and provides an intimate setting with seating for approximately 28 guests. Scrubby’s emphasizes a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere where bowlers and local residents can gather and socialize.

Scrubby’s focuses primarily on traditional, easy-drinking session beers rather than highly experimental or extremely strong releases. Its regular selection includes styles such as pale ale, IPA, wheat beer, amber ale, stout, pilsner, Kölsch, and German-style lagers. Current offerings have included Average Booster Pilsner, The Messenger Golden Blonde, Sandbagger Belgian Wheat, Kegler Kölsch, and The Munson Brown Mild, along with rotating seasonal and experimental beers. Fruited sour ales and specialty releases provide additional variety for adventurous drinkers.

Although brewing takes place at a nearby production facility in Dallastown, Scrubby’s maintains its own welcoming taproom experience at the bowling center. Guests can pair the beer with wings, hand-cut fries, flatbread pizzas, burgers, grilled sandwiches, and other casual food from the on-site kitchen. Trivia, special events, and bowling add to the entertainment options. With its approachable beer philosophy, community atmosphere, and unusual bowling-center setting, Scrubby’s Craft Beer and Taproom offers a distinctive craft beer experience in York County.
