Hunter Hill Vineyard & Winery

Hunter Hill Vineyard & Winery is a boutique winery located in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Soquel, California. Founded by Vann and Christine Slatter, the winery focuses on producing small-lot wines that highlight the unique character of cool-climate vineyards. Established with a passion for quality winemaking and sustainable vineyard practices, Hunter Hill Vineyard & Winery has developed a strong reputation for handcrafted wines that reflect the beauty and complexity of the Santa Cruz Mountains region.

The winery specializes in Pinot Noir, one of the region’s most celebrated varietals, along with other carefully crafted wines sourced from estate and select vineyard sites. The six-acre estate vineyard benefits from coastal influences, hillside conditions, and diverse soils that help create wines with balanced acidity, expressive aromas, and elegant structure. Hunter Hill Vineyard & Winery takes a hands-on approach to vineyard management and winemaking, allowing each vintage to showcase the distinctive qualities of its fruit and terroir.

Visitors and wine enthusiasts can experience the winery’s limited-production releases while learning about the family’s dedication to artisan winemaking. The intimate scale of the winery provides a personal connection between guests and the wines, making it an appealing destination for those seeking authentic California wine experiences. With its focus on Pinot Noir, careful craftsmanship, and mountain vineyard character, Hunter Hill Vineyard & Winery represents the passion and creativity of the Santa Cruz Mountains wine community.
