Icaria Winery

has produced award-winning wines since 1997 from its estate in northern Sonoma County. The fifty-acre ranch lies in the Asti Foothills at the northern end of Alexander Valley, approximately ninety minutes north of San Francisco. Its elevated vineyard setting, long growing season, and family-scale character give the property a distinctive identity rooted in hillside farming and careful winemaking.

Twenty-six acres of the estate are planted on slopes rising about 400 feet above sea level. The vineyard was among Sonoma County’s early hillside sites for Cabernet Sauvignon and also includes Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. Another ten acres of Chardonnay grow in the deep alluvial soils of the Alexander Valley floor. Warm daytime temperatures encourage concentration, while cool nights help preserve acidity and freshness.

The combination of mountain fruit and valley-floor Chardonnay allows Icaria Winery to craft layered wines designed to complement food. Guests and collectors can appreciate selections that express the contrast between sunlit hillsides and cooler vineyard conditions. Whether discovering Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon or exploring estate Chardonnay, wine enthusiasts encounter a producer defined by thoughtful farming, balanced flavors, and a strong connection to its Sonoma County landscape.
