Allegretto Vineyards and Wines

is a distinctive estate winery in Paso Robles, California, created from Douglas Ayres’ long-standing vision of owning vineyards, crafting world-class wines, and contributing to the region’s wine-country experience. The winery’s story began with the purchase of a premium Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in the Paso Robles Willow Creek District, followed by the development of vineyards surrounding the Allegretto Vineyard Resort in the Estrella District.

The estate grows a diverse selection of grapes, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, Merlot, Viognier, Roussanne, Clairette Blanche, Marsanne, Petite Sirah, Chardonnay, and Tempranillo. Its vineyards benefit from Paso Robles’ warm days, cool nights, maritime influences, and varied soils. Allegretto emphasizes sustainable farming, incorporating organic and biodynamic practices while using traditional Old World-inspired winemaking techniques to create expressive estate-grown wines.

Visitors can experience Allegretto Vineyards and Wines at the tasting room located within the Allegretto Vineyard Resort. Guests can enjoy wine tastings, vineyard tours, and the surrounding resort’s distinctive architecture, gardens, and art. With vineyards spanning the Estrella and Willow Creek districts, a broad selection of grape varieties, and a strong connection between wine, hospitality, and agriculture, Allegretto Vineyards and Wines offers an engaging way to discover the character of Paso Robles wine country.
