Tackitt Family Vineyards

is a family-owned, veteran-founded winery located in San Miguel, California, along the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail in Paso Robles. Founded by Leon and Cindy Tackitt, the winery grew from a family tradition that began when Leon’s grandfather planted 29 Gewürztraminer vines brought from Germany in the 1970s. After Leon’s retirement from a 28-year career in the U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal community, the couple transformed their family vineyard into a boutique winery dedicated to handcrafted wines and personal hospitality.

Tackitt Family Vineyards specializes in small-lot, estate-driven wines that showcase the character of Paso Robles’ Estrella AVA. The winery produces a diverse selection, including Gewürztraminer, Petite Sirah, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Bordeaux-style blends, and late-harvest dessert wines. Many of the wines are created using traditional techniques, with grape pressing, barrel aging, and bottling completed directly on the estate.

The winery also carries a special mission through its EOD Cellars label, created to honor and support members of the military community. Proceeds from these wines benefit the EOD Warrior Foundation, reflecting the Tackitt family’s continued commitment to service and giving back.
