David Family

is a boutique wine label based in San Francisco, California, founded by Australian wine enthusiast Michelle Turnbull. The winery was created with a vision of producing elegant, limited-production wines while supporting meaningful charitable causes. Since launching with its first harvest in 2009, David Family has focused on crafting wines that combine exceptional vineyard sources, skilled winemaking, and a commitment to giving back to the community.

David Family specializes in premium Pinot Noir from several acclaimed California appellations and Merlot from Napa Valley. The winery works with talented winemakers, including Byron Kosuge for Pinot Noir and Chris Corley for Merlot, to create wines that showcase balance, complexity, and regional expression. Each bottle features a unique hand-affixed leather label with an individual number, reflecting the brand’s attention to detail and distinctive identity.

Beyond producing handcrafted wines, David Family is recognized for its philanthropic mission. A portion of the winery’s profits supports Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco, helping provide housing opportunities for families in need. This combination of fine winemaking and social responsibility gives the brand a unique place within California’s boutique wine community.

With its focus on small-production wines, premium vineyard selections, and a purpose-driven approach, David Family offers wine enthusiasts an opportunity to enjoy beautifully crafted California wines while supporting a meaningful cause. Its dedication to quality, craftsmanship, and community impact makes it a memorable name among boutique wineries.
