Silvestri Vineyards

is a family-owned estate winery based in Carmel Valley, California, with its tasting room located in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea. The vineyard sits approximately 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean, where cool marine influences and warmer inland mountains create dramatic daily temperature changes. Strong afternoon winds and the vineyard’s elevated benchlands and hillsides contribute to a distinctive cool-climate growing environment.

The estate focuses on producing and bottling wines from its own vineyard, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris. The vineyard’s rocky soils, locally described as chalk rock, combined with careful matching of grape varieties and clones to different soil and exposure conditions, help create wines with freshness, complexity, and elegant character. The first vineyard blocks were planted in 2000, with the first harvest arriving in 2003.

Silvestri Vineyards offers an intimate tasting experience in Carmel-by-the-Sea, where visitors can sample its estate-grown wines in a beautifully appointed tasting room. Current tasting selections include estate Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Barbera, and Cabernet Sauvignon, with additional wines available for purchase. The vineyard itself is not open to the public, making the Carmel tasting room the primary destination for experiencing the winery.
