Founded in 1991 by Dr. Michael Dragutsky, Cornerstone Cellars began with a simple dream to produce exceptional wine from some of Napa Valley’s finest vineyard sites. What started with the purchase of a few tons of Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon grapes quickly evolved into a respected boutique winery known for crafting elegant, terroir-driven wines. From its earliest vintages, the winery focused on quality over quantity, producing small-lot wines that expressed the individuality of both vineyard and vintage.

Cornerstone Cellars is particularly recognized for its Cabernet Sauvignon program, sourcing fruit from acclaimed vineyard sites throughout Napa Valley, including Howell Mountain, Oakville, Rutherford, and Calistoga. Over the years, the winery expanded its portfolio to include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and other varietals, always maintaining a commitment to balance, elegance, and vineyard expression. Rather than chasing trends, Cornerstone has consistently focused on producing wines that showcase a sense of place and remain enjoyable alongside food.
