Great Shoals at Heyser Farm

Our first product release in March of 2011, Spencerville Red Hard Apple, earned Gold and Best in Class Hard Cider at that year’s Maryland Governor’s Cup wine competition. We’ve since produced and released more than thirty unique hard ciders and wines, which continue to win awards at state and regional competitions.

In June of 2013, Great Shoals established its tasting room at Heyser’s Market on New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, MD. Our humble beginning continues to unfold with the help of family, friends, and dedicated staff, as well as with the generous support of our customers.
