Blue Sky Farm And Winery

offers a distinctive countryside experience centered on family farming, fresh blueberries, and handcrafted fruit wine. The idea began in 1998 when owner Russ Betz planned to create a retirement project where visitors could pick their own naturally grown blueberries. The first bushes were planted in 2001, establishing a welcoming farm surrounded by peaceful rural scenery.

Approximately five acres are planted with Patriot and Bluecrop blueberries. After several years of careful maintenance, the farm welcomed its first successful harvest in the summer of 2005. The flavorful fruit quickly gained popularity among local customers seeking fresh, healthy produce and an enjoyable pick-your-own experience.

When blueberry harvests began producing more fruit than the farm could sell, Russ experimented with winemaking. In 2008, the winery was officially added to the family business. Its wines are produced entirely from blueberries, creating distinctive beverages with rich fruit character and a strong connection to the farm. Whether visiting to gather fresh berries, discover blueberry wine, or enjoy a peaceful agricultural outing, Blue Sky Farm and Winery provides a memorable destination shaped by family dedication, creativity, and local farming traditions.
