Swedish Hill Vineyard & Winery

Swedish Hill Vineyard & Winery Swedish Hill Vineyard & Winery offers a welcoming Cayuga Lake experience shaped by family heritage, regional agriculture, and a broad collection of handcrafted beverages. The winery’s story began in 1969, when Dick and Cindy Peterson planted their first vines and supplied grapes to one of the few established producers operating in the Finger Lakes at that time. Their dedication eventually led to the opening of Swedish Hill Winery in 1986.

The winery produces an extensive portfolio designed for many preferences, including dry and sweet whites, expressive reds, Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, sparkling wines, fruit wines, dessert selections, and reserve bottlings. Visitors can also explore Donkey Kick hard ciders, adding another enjoyable option for groups with different tastes.

The tasting room provides a comfortable setting where guests can sample wines, receive friendly recommendations, and learn about the winery’s longstanding connection to Finger Lakes viticulture. Outdoor seating and attractive country views make the property especially enjoyable during pleasant weather. Now operated by the Martin family, Swedish Hill continues blending its original Peterson family legacy with a fresh generation of regional winemaking. With its extensive selection, relaxed atmosphere, and deep local roots, Swedish Hill Vineyard & Winery remains a memorable Cayuga Lake destination.
