Willow Creek Winery

offers a welcoming western New York wine experience shaped by friendship, community, and handcrafted production. The winery began in 1999 when retired teacher and longtime home winemaker Jim Emerson transformed a personal passion into a commercial venture. After founding a winemaking club that grew to around forty members, he joined fifteen fellow winemakers to establish Willow Creek Winery.

Following Jim’s passing in 2000, Doug Metzger became president and continued developing the property. He added a picturesque pond, gazebo, creekside waterfalls, and other landscaping features that created a relaxing setting for visitors. In 2012, the tasting room and retail shop were completely remodeled. Original wooden beams dating from the nineteenth century were carefully restored, giving the space a warm and rustic character.

The winery produces more than nineteen handcrafted wines onsite, ranging from dry reds and whites to blends, sweet selections, and popular specialty chocolate wines. Visitors can sample award-winning favorites such as Chocolate Temptations, Chautauqua Chocolate, Bubbling Temptations, and Chocolate Peppermint Patty. With its inviting tasting bar, scenic grounds, family leadership, and creative portfolio, Willow Creek Winery provides an enjoyable destination for wine lovers exploring the Lake Erie region.
