Sleepy Cat Urban Winery

is a family-owned urban winery located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where handcrafted wines, a relaxed atmosphere, and creative hospitality come together in the heart of the city's West End Theatre District. Founded by husband-and-wife team Mark and Carrie Gerencher, the winery opened in 2016 after the couple transformed their passion for home winemaking into a thriving business. Rather than operating a traditional vineyard, Sleepy Cat sources premium grape and fruit juices from Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Chile, completing every stage of fermentation, aging, filtering, and bottling on-site. Its playful cat-inspired theme, welcoming tasting room, and unique "Paw'ty Room" create a fun destination for wine lovers, families, and groups celebrating special occasions.

Guests can enjoy more than thirty handcrafted wines ranging from crisp whites and bold reds to blush wines, fruit wines, and seasonal specialties. Signature selections such as Sleepy Cat White, Kitty Kisses, Cherry Superstitious, RAZZ Raspberry Wine, and Oui Oui showcase the winery's creative approach to winemaking. Guided tastings and wine flights allow visitors to discover a variety of styles while learning about the owners' journey and production process.

Beyond its wines, Sleepy Cat Urban Winery hosts craft nights, book clubs, live entertainment, private parties, and community events throughout the year. Whether enjoying wine slushies, artisan food pairings, or relaxing with friends, visitors can expect genuine hospitality, memorable flavors, and a distinctive urban winery experience unlike any other in Pennsylvania.
