Penns Woods

Winery Penns Woods Winery is a family-owned estate winery located in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, where Italian winemaking traditions, estate-grown vineyards, and exceptional hospitality have established it as one of the state's premier wine destinations. Founded in 2001 by Italian immigrant and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Gino Razzi, the winery grew from decades of experience as a wine importer and a vision to produce world-class wines that showcase Pennsylvania’s unique terroir. After restoring a historic vineyard and farmhouse, the family opened its tasting room in 2006 and has since expanded to more than 40 acres of vineyards across southeastern Pennsylvania. Today, under the leadership of the Razzi family, Penns Woods continues to blend Old World craftsmanship with modern innovation while welcoming visitors to its scenic estate overlooking the Brandywine Valley.

Guests can enjoy an outstanding collection of handcrafted wines made exclusively from Pennsylvania-grown grapes, including elegant Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and the winery’s acclaimed Ameritage blend. Guided tastings and curated wine flights introduce visitors to premium Euro-style wines crafted with sustainable vineyard practices and meticulous attention to detail. Knowledgeable staff share insights into the vineyard, winemaking process, and the philosophy behind every vintage, creating an engaging experience for both seasoned wine enthusiasts and first-time visitors.

Beyond its wines, Penns Woods Winery hosts vineyard tours, wine pairing experiences, live music, seasonal events, educational workshops, and private celebrations throughout the year. Whether relaxing on the scenic lawn, exploring the surrounding trails, or discovering award-winning Pennsylvania wines, visitors can expect warm hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and an unforgettable winery experience.
