Hunters Run Winery

Hunter’s Run Winery Hunter’s Run Winery offered a casual and intimate wine experience in the peaceful countryside of Loudoun County. Located near Hamilton and Paeonian Springs, the small winery welcomed visitors into a charming red equestrian barn decorated with Irish and Celtic influences. Its cozy interior, relaxed outdoor seating, and personal hospitality created an inviting destination for couples, friends, and travelers exploring Northern Virginia wine country.

Founded in 2009, Hunter’s Run was inspired by owner Geri Nolan’s Irish heritage and operated as one of Loudoun County’s smaller wineries. Its limited-production portfolio included approachable whites such as Chardonnay, Viognier, Riesling, and Traminette, along with lighter red wines and specialty selections. The winery’s house-made sangria became particularly popular among visitors seeking a refreshing and flavorful option.

Guests could enjoy tastings in the warmly decorated barn while pairing wines with baguettes, Irish cheeses, and other light refreshments. Occasional live Irish music added to the welcoming atmosphere, while the barn could also accommodate intimate gatherings and private events. Although Hunter’s Run Winery closed in 2022 and the property later became home to another winery, it remains remembered for its friendly service, distinctive theme, handcrafted wines, and comfortable neighborhood character.
