Dowsett Family Winery

is a family-owned boutique winery rooted in generations of winemaking experience and a passion for producing distinctive, small-lot wines. Founded in 2007 by winemaker Chris Dowsett, the winery builds on a family legacy that began in Oregon’s Willamette Valley before expanding into Washington’s celebrated wine country. Chris refined his craft through studies in Australia and years of experience in Oregon, California, and Washington, creating a thoughtful approach that blends traditional techniques with careful vineyard selection. Producing only a limited number of cases each year, Dowsett Family Winery focuses on handcrafted wines that express the individuality of every vineyard and vintage while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail.

Visitors can enjoy a carefully curated portfolio featuring Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Mourvèdre, sparkling Blanc de Noirs, Rosé, and Rhône-inspired blends. Guided tastings highlight handpicked fruit, whole-cluster pressing for white wines, small-lot fermentation, and patient lees aging that enhance complexity and balance. Each wine reflects the winery’s commitment to preserving varietal character while showcasing premium vineyards from Washington and the Pacific Northwest.

Beyond its wines, Dowsett Family Winery offers warm hospitality and a genuine connection to family traditions that span generations. Every bottle reflects a dedication to craftsmanship, sustainable vineyard partnerships, and producing distinctive Washington wines that celebrate heritage, quality, and the enduring spirit of artisan winemaking.
