Bainbridge Island Winery

Founded in 1977 by Gerard and Jo Ann Bentryn, the winery pioneered grape growing in the Puget Sound region and released its first commercial vintage in 1982. Today, the winery is proudly women-owned and led by winemaker Betsey Wittick, continuing a tradition of producing wines that reflect the unique maritime climate and historic farmland of Bainbridge Island. Certified organic vineyards, regenerative farming practices, and the use of draft horses instead of tractors demonstrate the winery’s commitment to environmental stewardship and authentic winemaking.
