Axe And Arrow Brewery

Axe & Arrow Brewery

Axe & Arrow Brewery is a craft brewery and tasting room located on Town Square in Glassboro, New Jersey. Founded by Josh and Krystle Lockman, the brewery grew from their weekend homebrewing hobby into a seven-barrel brewhouse serving fresh beer to the South Jersey community. The brewery’s name reflects Josh Lockman’s Scottish heritage, while its overall philosophy focuses on making high-quality beer in a wide variety of styles. In 2024, new partners joined the team to help guide the brewery’s day-to-day operations, and in 2025, Nick McMillen became head brewer.

Axe & Arrow Brewery maintains around 20 taps featuring familiar favorites, seasonal releases, and experimental creations. Its lineup ranges from traditional lagers and pale ales to IPAs, fruity sours, pastry stouts, and other inventive styles. Popular beers have included The Axe, a hybrid West Coast/East Coast double IPA, and Tropic Thunder, a fruited sour brewed with guava, mango, and passion fruit. This variety gives visitors plenty of options to explore.

The taproom offers a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with indoor seating, games, trivia, and a patio overlooking Glassboro Town Square. Guests can bring food from nearby restaurants and enjoy it alongside their beers. With its creative selection, welcoming environment, and strong connection to the local community, Axe & Arrow Brewery provides an enjoyable destination for exploring South Jersey’s craft-beer scene.
