Market Cross Pub & Brewery

Market Cross Pub & Brewery is a family and female-owned English pub, restaurant, and brewery located in downtown Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Established in 1994, the business was created to bring the welcoming atmosphere of an English pub to Carlisle. The name Market Cross comes from Carlisle, England, which is the city’s sister city. Today, the pub combines traditional English character with locally brewed beer, homemade comfort food, and a relaxed setting for guests.

Market Cross Pub & Brewery added its on-site brewery in 2002, featuring a 10-barrel Peter Austin brewing system and open fermentation. The brewing team produces natural, unfiltered English-style ales and lagers, with approximately 15 styles made throughout the year. Popular selections include Olde Yeller IPA, English Red Ale, and Excalibur Imperial Stout. The brewery typically rotates three to four house beers at a time, giving visitors opportunities to discover different flavors during each visit.

Beyond its house-brewed beer, Market Cross Pub & Brewery offers a broad selection of imported and craft beers alongside traditional pub food such as fish and chips, wings, steaks, and burgers. The pub also features a beer passport that encourages guests to explore beers from around the world. With its combination of English pub atmosphere, in-house brewing, and extensive beer selection, Market Cross Pub & Brewery provides a distinctive destination for craft beer lovers visiting Carlisle and the surrounding Pennsylvania region.
