Fantesca Estate & Winery Founded in 2004 by Susan and Duane Hoff, Fantesca Estate & Winery is a family-owned boutique winery dedicated to producing ultra-premium wines from its historic mountain estate. The property itself has a remarkable history dating back to 1860, when it formed part of Caroline Bale’s dowry to Charles Krug, one of Napa Valley’s pioneering winemakers. Over the decades, the vineyard earned recognition for producing exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon, and today Fantesca continues that legacy through meticulous vineyard management and world-class winemaking.

The winery is best known for its limited-production Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Bordeaux-style blends. Situated on a 53-acre estate with approximately 10 acres of vineyards, Fantesca focuses on crafting wines that express the distinctive characteristics of mountain-grown fruit. The estate’s high-elevation vineyards produce grapes with exceptional concentration, structure, and complexity, resulting in wines that are both powerful and elegant. Renowned winemakers, including Heidi Barrett and Tony Arcudi, have played significant roles in shaping the winery’s acclaimed portfolio.
