Roark Wine Company

is a small-production artisan winery founded by Ryan Roark in California’s Central Coast wine region. Established in 2009, the winery was created with a focus on producing wines that reflect the true character of the grape variety, vintage, and vineyard. Ryan Roark’s approach is guided by the belief that winemaking should preserve the natural expression of the fruit, with minimal intervention and careful attention from vineyard to bottle.

Roark Wine Company specializes in handcrafted wines made from responsibly farmed vineyards, including varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Grenache, Syrah, Chenin Blanc, and other distinctive Central Coast grapes. The winery follows a “naturally made, classically styled” philosophy, using minimal additions during production and avoiding fining and filtration whenever possible. Many of the grapes come from vineyards that Roark farms directly or from growers who share similar sustainable and quality-focused values.

Visitors can experience Roark Wine Company through limited tasting opportunities and winery visits by arrangement. The winery has been associated with the Buellton wine community and now operates just north of Los Olivos near Foxen Canyon Road, offering a more intimate and personal wine experience. With its small-batch production, creative winemaking style, and commitment to showcasing vineyard character, Roark Wine Company represents the innovative and artisan-driven spirit of California’s Central Coast wine scene.
