The story behind Brown Estate begins in 1980 when Dr. Bassett Brown and Marcela Brown purchased an abandoned ranch in the eastern hills of Napa Valley. Over the following years, the family restored the property, planted vineyards, and sold grapes to respected wineries before launching the Brown Estate label in the mid-1990s. Their first commercial Zinfandel was produced in 1996, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey that would establish Brown Estate as one of Napa Valley’s most respected boutique producers.

Brown Estate is particularly known for its flagship Zinfandel, along with Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Petite Sirah, and innovative blends.
