Rockfish Creek Winery

celebrates generations of winemaking tradition while offering a relaxed and personal experience in Raeford. Its story connects family vineyards in Verona, Italy, with a newer generation inspired to continue that heritage in North Carolina. The modern journey began in 2002, when Steve made his first small batch of wine at home and discovered a passion that would grow over many years.

The founders traveled widely, visited wineries and vineyards, and experimented with different flavors and combinations using small home batches. A meaningful visit to OBX Winery in Kill Devil Hills introduced them to experienced winery owners who became mentors, friends, and important influences as the dream developed into a working business.

The winery takes its name from nearby Rockfish Creek, located close to the family’s home and winemaking operation. Wines are crafted with a focus on quality, consistency, and local character, using wine sourced from across North Carolina and occasionally blended with selections from other regions. Every batch is designed to create an enjoyable and memorable experience. With family heritage, hands-on craftsmanship, and welcoming hospitality, Rockfish Creek Winery invites guests to relax, share wine, and create lasting memories.
