Helvetia Vineyards Winery Helvetia Vineyards Winery is a family-owned estate where historic farmland, handcrafted wines, and genuine country hospitality come together just northwest of Portland. Founded by John and Elizabeth Furse, the vineyard was established in 1982 after the family recognized the region’s exceptional potential for growing premium wine grapes. They produced their first vintage in 1987, began selling grapes to local winemakers, and officially opened their own winery in 1996. Nestled in the rolling Tualatin Mountain foothills, the estate features vineyards, historic barns, and a restored farmhouse that welcomes visitors seeking a peaceful escape surrounded by scenic countryside.
