Spring Run Vineyards

is a family-owned and operated boutique farm winery focused on small-batch craftsmanship, sustainable grape growing, and personal hospitality. Located in Chesterfield, the vineyard offers an intimate alternative to larger commercial wineries. Its “nano-winery” approach allows the family to carefully manage every stage of production while creating wines with distinctive regional character.

The vineyard has grown wine grapes since 2005 and focuses primarily on hybrid varieties that perform well in Virginia’s challenging climate. These grapes are selected for their ability to tolerate changing weather conditions while requiring minimal spraying. This practical approach supports healthier vines and reflects the winery’s commitment to responsible vineyard management. The estate is gradually expanding toward approximately three acres of planted vines.

In addition to grape wines, Spring Run Vineyards grows blackberries and produces limited quantities of fine blackberry wine. These fruit-forward selections provide an enjoyable alternative for guests who appreciate distinctive flavors and locally grown ingredients. With family ownership, carefully selected grape varieties, small-lot production, and a focus on sustainable farming, Spring Run Vineyards offers an authentic introduction to Virginia’s independent winemaking culture.
