Tunnel Hill Winery

was a boutique Washington winery that earned a loyal following for producing elegant, estate-grown wines inspired by the unique terroir of the Lake Chelan Valley. Founded by Denny and Jaclyn Evans, the winery focused on crafting wines that reflected a true sense of place, combining careful vineyard stewardship with thoughtful winemaking. Estate vineyards planted beginning in 2001 provided the fruit for many of its signature wines, while a commitment to quality and authenticity defined every vintage. Although the tasting room closed in 2022 and the final wines have since sold out, the winery remains an admired part of Washington’s winemaking history.

During its years of operation, Tunnel Hill Winery became known for producing expressive Riesling, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Viognier, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Approximately ninety-five percent of the fruit came from the family’s estate vineyards, allowing each wine to showcase the distinctive soils and climate of the Lake Chelan region. Small-lot production, meticulous farming, and restrained winemaking techniques resulted in balanced, food-friendly wines that highlighted purity, elegance, and varietal character.
