Bagley’s Poplar Ridge Vineyards

Bagley’s Poplar Ridge Vineyards Bagley’s Poplar Ridge Vineyards offers a lively Finger Lakes wine experience built around family heritage, friendly hospitality, and a genuine love of good times. The story began in 1977 when Dave Bagley purchased land in Valois after spending several years working for other regional wineries. He planted twenty acres of vineyards, built his winery by 1980, and quickly earned a reputation for welcoming every visitor like an old friend.

Dave created more than a place to taste wine. He filled the winery with outgoing employees, classic rock music, chocolate Labrador retrievers, and a relaxed atmosphere where guests could enjoy conversation and laughter. Visitors often found him sitting on a corner stool or relaxing outside in a rocking chair with a glass of sparkling wine.

After Dave passed away in 2008, his daughter Brittany took over the family business and continued preserving his welcoming spirit. Today, guests can explore handcrafted wines while enjoying the casual personality that has defined the property for decades. With its family story, established vineyards, warm service, and playful atmosphere, Bagley’s Poplar Ridge Vineyards provides a memorable stop for travelers exploring the Seneca Lake wine region.
